I'm just curious because 4 turns seem like quite a bit. One of the wheels was actually horribly toed in. Maybe my old rack was defective or a tie rod was bent? I also haven't checked but the SPLs could be set to a different length than OEMs. On bump steer though- I'm still not positive that front bump steer on our cars cannot be improved. Here's an article on bump steer. It's probably biased, but it claims that bump steer should be less than .05" and less than .015" is preferred. How on earth do you eyeball such a minute change? [ http://www.longacreracing.com/articles/text/Bump_Steer.pdf ] I'll hazard a bet that bump steer on our cars isn't exactly 0 in the front. I probably wouldn't be able to discern less than 1/12" without precision equipment...
